
The Manitowoc County Mariners lost to the Fox River Raiders by a score of 16 to 7 in a Northern Lights football game played at Winneconne High School on Saturday night.
The defense, under the direction of Rico Flores, continues to shine as they accounted for the only Mariners score on a forced fumble of the Raiders quarterback in the end zone by Noah Ayotte that was recovered by Micheal Quinchia.
Defensive back Ethan Limon continued his sensational season with 2 more interceptions.
Offensively, Dylon Williams led the Mariners in receiving, catching four passes for 61 yards, with Miguel Alfaro catching three balls for 57 yards.
The Mariners slip to 2-2 on the season and hit the road again for a Saturday afternoon contest at Sun Prairie West High School against the Middleton Panthers.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
