Sheboygan’s downtown summer farmers market will be back this week.
The first Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization summer market will be held on Wednesday (June 3rd) from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fountain Park.
The SCIO farmers market will then run at the same time every Saturday and Wednesday morning until October 28th.
Wednesday’s lineup is set to include 11 vendors offering prepared meals and street eats, three Artisanal Bakery vendors, two specialty sweets vendors, three offering specialty beverages, and much more.
New this year will be the $20 SNAP match, allowing SNAP or FoodShare recipients to have up to $20 matched in nutrition-based incentives each market day, doubling their buying power.
The farmers market is also a great way to support local vendors and growers, as SCIO explained, “Every single farmer, baker, and crafter lives within 100 miles of the market. When you shop here, you keep your dollars right here in our community!”
Those looking to become a vendor this summer are encouraged to reach out to the SCIO Market Manager by emailing fm@sheboygancountyinterfaith.org.
