Manitowoc County will allow the Manitowoc Public School District to use the UW-Green Bay Manitowoc campus for student classes.
County Executive Tyler Martell says he’s signed a contract that leases the space. MPSD will pay $100,000 to be split between Manitowoc County and UWGB.
Students who attended Stangel will be able to use Hillside Hall for their alternative learning classes.
Martell says the county and UWGB will split the $100,000, with the college using it to offset utility, custodial, and routine maintenance costs.
The county will use the funds toward capital maintenance of the UW campus building.
Martell calls the move an “innovative partnership for all three of us, a great deal for Manitowoc County, and most importantly, a win for the taxpayers.”
