A relatively new tradition will be back in Sheboygan this summer.
The City of Sheboygan and the IHRA Offshore Powerboat Series will be returning to the waters of Lake Michigan for the 4th annual Midwest Challenge on August 7th through August 9th.
On the return to the Malibu of the Midwest, Mercury Racing and IHRA said the event will be “A weekend dedicated to performance, innovation, and the pursuit of speed. Bringing together offshore race teams, boat owners, and enthusiasts from across North America.”
At this time, there are limited details available regarding related events and activities to be paired with the boat races around Sheboygan; however, the City notes that they will be able to share more soon.
Despite this, the City has made a call to food truck operators in the area who would like to take part in the festivities.
Sheboygan’s Department of Public Works explained, “The City will have a variety of activated areas, and we’re looking for awesome food trucks to keep everyone fueled! If you’re interested in serving up your favorites and being part of the action, please use this form to grab a spot.”
However, space is limited, and those interested are encouraged to act quickly.
