One person is in jail, and one other has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a bar fight.
55-year-old Chad L. Suttner of New Holstein was given a $50,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch yesterday (May 26th).
This comes as Suttner faces charges of Aggravated Battery and Disorderly Conduct linked to a recent physical altercation, which left the victim hospitalized with a skull fracture.
The victim’s injuries were so severe that he had to be put into a medically induced coma at a hospital in Green Bay.
Very few details regarding the altercation are available, including when and where it took place.
During yesterday’s bail hearing, the victim’s father spoke, noting the severity of his son’s injuries and that his family has been told by doctors to “wait and pray.”
Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Angelina Scaprelli echoed his statements on the severity of the situation and added that, if the victim passes away as a result of these injuries, Suttner would be subject to homicide charges as well.
Additional terms of his bail include a strict no-contact order with the victim.
Suttner will now return to court on June 1st at 1:30 p.m. to make his initial appearance.
