A person is facing reckless homicide charges after an overdose death in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Police were called to a home in February after a person found the victim lying on the side of a bed and not responding.
Detectives were called in because illegal drugs played a role in the person’s death.
They found evidence of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and THC in the bedroom.
After speaking with the woman who found the victim and asking who could have supplied the drugs, she said a person named “Braxton” could have provided them.
Police knew the real name of the person who was identified by the witness through a Facebook profile.
Messages between the victim and the 25-year-old suspect would confirm that fentanyl and methamphetamine were provided to the victim.
Another person confirmed the suspect was at the victim’s home the night before.
The culprit has been convicted on four other drug-related charges in the past.
They are now facing a charge of 1st-degree reckless homicide.
