
Two individuals were arrested on weapons charges on Memorial Day.
The Oshkosh Police Department was called to the 800 block of Wisconsin Street at 12:15 a.m. on a report of a disturbance involving a handgun.
The caller reported that an adult male had given a handgun to a juvenile, and when police arrived, multiple juveniles began fleeing the scene.
Several were stopped and questioned, as was an adult male.
A search of the residence uncovered three stolen firearms, leading to the arrest of a 42-year-old Oshkosh man on charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon – Intentionally Giving a Dangerous Weapon to a Person Under 18 Years of Age, Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Obstructing an Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Possession/Receiving a Stolen Firearm, and Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Also arrested was a 17-year-old Oshkosh male, who is facing charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon Under 18 years old, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession/Receiving a Stolen Firearm.
No one was injured in the incident, and there is no further danger to the public.
The investigation is ongoing.
