After a break for highway crews on the holiday weekend, work is set to continue on roads in Sheboygan County this week.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has said that work will resume on I-43 between Wilson/Lima and State Highway 42 tomorrow morning (May 26th).
This week, work to be done includes a continuation of rebab work on various structures in both the north and southbound lanes throughout the full length of the project.
However, right-of-way fence removal and installation will be done in the northbound lane between State Highways 32 and 23.
The contractor will also begin median grading operations for the guardrail from Highway 42 to Highway 28. Meanwhile, DOT crews will also be performing sweeping operations this week.
Sweeping will take place tomorrow and Wednesday (May 27th) on Highway 23 between the county line and Taylor Drive in Sheboygan between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Then, on Wednesday and Thursday (May 28th), similar sweeping operations will take place during the same time on Highway 57 between County Road O and the Ozaukee/Sheboygan County line.
A moving lane closure will be used on both highways during sweeping work.
