There is a new program at Lakeshore College.
The college based in Cleveland has launched a new commercial truck driving program designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in the transportation and logistics industry.
The in-person program provides students with the training needed to meet federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements and pursue a Commercial Driver License (CDL) in Wisconsin.
By offering this program locally, students will no longer need to travel to Fond Du Lac, Milwaukee, Appleton, or Green Bay for commercial truck driving training.
The new program is offered in an eight-week traditional format and features four start dates each year, allowing students to quickly enter the workforce.
Students will receive hands-on, behind-the-wheel training using industry-standard equipment while learning from instructors with extensive professional driving and teaching experience.
