Many iconic runners will return to an annual race celebrating a historic milestone.
It’s the 50th year for the Bellin Run, taking place on Saturday, June 13th at 8:00 a.m. in Green Bay.
Eight past Bellin Run champions spanning 1977 through 2025 will return to run again. Emplify Health by Bellin Spokesperson Kelly McBride Moore says this year’s run promises outstanding competition as the event celebrates its milestone golden anniversary.
Iconic runners include Frank Shorter, who won the Bellin Run in 1977, Bill Rodgers, known also as “Boston Billy” for his four Boston Marathon wins, and Jim Drews of De Pere, who has earned several top-3 finishes in the Bellin Run.
Current top elites also return, including Top 10 Olympic marathon runner Jared Ward, Eight-time Bellin Run Winner Risper Gesabwa, and defending Bellin Run women’s champion Amy Davis-Green.
Race Director Linda Maxwell says they are excited for everyone to join to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the run.
