A lawsuit filed against the City of Green Bay may be going to federal court.
The case stems from audio recording devices being found in City Hall in 2021 and 2022, with former city Alderman Chris Wery filing the initial suit.
WBAY reports that the City’s attorneys are asking for the case to be moved due to some constitutional questions.
The City has stated since the beginning that the expectation of privacy should not be applicable in this case, as the recording devices were placed in public places and video surveillance was also in place.
The move has not yet been approved, only filed.
