The City of Two Rivers is inviting business owners, property owners, and community stakeholders to participate in a historic conversation.
On Thursday, May 21st, the city will be holding a special public discussion regarding the Business Improvement District as they review its boundaries for the first time in three decades.
The BID is a section of the city that helps local businesses thrive.
The Business Improvement District Board, which is comprised of seven local business owners, is looking to hear from those who would be affected by the change in boundaries to help ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the BID while continuing to support downtown beautification, marketing, special events, and economic development efforts.
The City also noted, “This is only the beginning of a broader three-step public approval process. After the BID Board develops a recommendation, the proposal would then move to the Plan Commission for review, followed by final consideration by the City Council.”
The May 21st meeting in the Council Chambers will be held at noon, but additional updates will continue to be shared through Cool City Connect and through the Two Rivers City Hall Facebook page.
