Numerous students in Plymouth will be getting some help to pursue higher education.
The Plymouth School District has announced that members of the Class of 2026 received over $1.8 million in scholarship funding, many of which were announced during the school’s annual Scholarship Night earlier this month.
In total, 86 Plymouth High School seniors received at least one scholarship.
That includes 66 students who received $1,200 as part of the Arno A. & Loretta K. Vogt Memorial Scholarship, which goes to any student with a GPA of 3.0 or better who participated in at least 10 high school extracurricular activities.
Of the 86 scholarship recipients, Panthers hoops standout Kayden Schultz received the most funding, which includes a more than $250,000 athletics scholarship from Michigan Tech University.
Other notable earners included Brennan Nickel, the recipient of the $150,000 Herbert V. Kohler Scholarship, Kalli Knowles, receiving a $132,000 University of St. Thomas Academic Scholarship, and Macie Abraham, whose 16 individual scholarships amount to over $150,000.
