Governor Tony Evers has announced $60 million in funding to help provide internet connectivity to more Wisconsin homes and businesses.
Gov. Evers, in partnership with the Public Services Commission of Wisconsin, said the funds come from the State Broadband Expansion Grant.
The goal is to provide stronger internet connectivity in underserved communities.
Officials say the funds also intend to reach locations not served by the federally funded Broadband, Equity, Access and Deployment Program.
More information about the grant can be found at PSC.WI.gov.
