The father of the Outagamie County teen who was found extremely malnourished is seeking a competency exam.
FOX11 reports that 47-year-old Walter Goodman was in court this week, where his attorney requested the review of Goodman’s mental competency.
Attorney Robert Welygan cited several interactions with Goodman that have him doubting his client’s ability to understand what is happening in court.
The motion will be reviewed during a May 28th hearing.
Goodman, along with his wife Melissa Goodman, her daughter Savana LeFever, and LeFever’s partner Kayla Stemler, were arrested after Walter’s 14-year-old daughter was found in their home weighing 35 pounds.
Melissa and Stemler have already been convicted on child neglect charges, and are due for sentencing on July 1st and August 24th, respectively.
LeFever is due for a pre-trial conference on June 17th.
