A man arrested this weekend for groping an employee at a Manitowoc grocery store remains in custody.
37-year-old Ramon A. Parker was given a $5,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch yesterday (May 18th), which remains unfurnished.
Parker has been formally charged with Fourth-Degree Sexual Assault and Possession of THC after being arrested on Sunday (May 17th).
Police were called on Sunday to the Pick N Save store on Calumet Avenue after an employee alleged Parker sexually assaulted her.
She told police that she was handing out free samples when the 37-year-old approached her from behind, grabbed her backside, pressed her up against a shelf, and “moaned in a sexual manner.”
The victim’s depiction of events was corroborated through security camera footage of the incident, and Parker was taken into custody.
Additional terms of his bail include no contact with the victim and no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Parker returns to court for his initial appearance on May 26th in Branch 1 at 1:30 p.m.
