A Sun Prairie man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Columbia County.
It happened Saturday afternoon when the 71-year-old was driving on County Highway J, and an SUV driving on the opposite side crossed the centerline.
The pair nearly collided head-on, and police were told the motorcycle rider ended up in a ditch.
First responders tried to save the man’s life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 19-year-old driver of the other car was uninjured in the incident.
