A Sheboygan man has been charged in a child pornography case.
Court records show that 55-year-old Nicholas C. McNutt is facing 10 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography linked to an incident that is said to have taken place in early March.
Upon his arrest earlier this year, McNutt was given a $500,000 cash bail by Sheboygan County Court Commissioner Ryan O’Rourke.
Since his bail hearing, the 55-year-old has pleaded not guilty to all charges he faces.
A letter penned to parents of students in the Kohler School District, written by Superintendent Dr Michael Juech, states that McNutt previously served as an assistant coach on the Kohler High School football team for the 2025-2026 season and was no longer employed by the district at the time of his arrest.
Superintendent Juech also noted that there is no indication that any children within the district were involved in the alleged crimes and that the district will assist law enforcement during the investigation if needed.
McNutt will return to court on May 26th for a status conference ahead of a scheduling conference on June 6th.
Until then, he remains in custody at the Sheboygan County Jail.
