A new way to explore the lakeshore on the water is coming to Manitowoc.
Simply Paddle, a new self-serve kayak and stand-up paddleboard rental business, will be opening next Wednesday (May 20th) at the River Point District in downtown Manitowoc at 4:00 p.m.
Visit Manitowoc asks the community to stop by, meet the owners Ben and Steph Peters, and learn how easy it is to get out on the water.
Manitowoc Tourism Director Courtney Hansen says Simply Paddle was developed in partnership with the city as part of an ongoing effort to enhance the downtown riverfront experience.
The business offers self-serve rentals of kayaks and paddleboards with no reservations required.
Step Peters says she and Ben are excited to bring something new and funding to Manitowoc, with the riverfront being a “special part of our downtown,” and they wanted to make it easier for people to get out and enjoy it.
Simply Paddle will also host regular paddling meetups, mixers, and special events throughout the season.
