Warren Arthur Wentorf, age 93 passed away on May 12, 2026 after suffering a fall in his home a week prior on Monday, May 4.
Warren was born on April 24, 1933 to parents, Hubert and Matilda (Zermuehlen) Wentorf. He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1951 and attended the University of Wisconsin. On November 19, 1959 he married Bernice Shedal.
Warren worked for two seasons in Door County at Snug Harbor. He completed a four-year tool and die make apprenticeship with Mirrow Aluminum Company. He worked there for 41 years, the last 31 years as a machine shop foreman, and retired in 1995. Warren was part-owner of Woodcraft Studios and part owner and secretary of Maces Ltd.
His survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Wentorf and Michael P. Vogel of Green Bay, one son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Kim Wentorf of Stoughton, WI, three grandchildren, Jennifer Vogel, Elizabeth Wentorf, and Gladys Wentorf, and two great-granddogs, Willow and Bo.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Bernice, infant granddaughter, Matilda Wentorf, and his parents Hubert and Matilda Wentorf.
Warren’s family would like to thank friends and neighbors for their small-town kindness, helping our father when he really needed it. It allowed him to remain in his own home as long as possible. We would also like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc who took excellent care of Warren in the past week.
