Three beagles from a now-closed testing facility west of Madison have made their way to the lakeshore.
The Lakeshore Humane Society picked up Bagel, Cream Cheese, and Poppy and brought them to the shelter on N. 8th Street.
They are part of the 1,500 beagles released from Ridglan Farms last week after the facility was accused of cruel animal practices.
The Humane Society explains that, even with the limited space they have, they wanted to help give the dogs a fresh start.
Although it will take a lot of time and love, they look forward to seeing the pups learn how good a dog’s life can be.
Anyone interested in adoption can fill out an online form at lakeshorehumane.org/adopt.
The Lakeshore Humane Society is also asking for donations to care for the three beagles.
