Some items from St. Boniface Church in Manitowoc will go on sale today (May 15th).
St. Francis of Assisi Parish invites the public to view items, including pews, oil candle holders, nativity scenes, tables, antique furniture, and other non-sacred items, for sale from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The parish is in the bittersweet process of relocating items from the historic church as they prepare to say goodbye to the building.
Cash or card will be accepted, but all sales are final. Items considered sacred, such as statues and other parts of the building, will not be sold to the public but will be donated to other Catholic parishes or kept in Manitowoc.
St. Boniface Church has been closed since 2013, following a decree from the Diocese of Green Bay stating it’s no longer needed for the care of souls.
