A coffee and ice cream shop in Manitowoc will soon be under new ownership.
Paula Kohlmeier of PK’s Beans N’ Cream announced on Facebook that April and Cody House will be taking over as owners on June 1st.
The Houses noted that they plan to continue the longstanding tradition of selling Christmas trees at the store at 908 North 8th Street, a tradition Paula has been a part of for over 65 years.
While she admitted giving up that tradition will be hard, Paula said she is “excited for April and Cody House…to continue building more memories.”
Paula closed, saying, “I would like to say a big thank you to all my faithful customers and employees for their support over the past 18 years. It has been a pleasure serving the community and living my dream as a business owner at the same time.”
April and Cody plan on closing the store for a two to three-week stretch once they take over, but they will announce their grand reopening on the PK’s Beans N’ Cream Facebook page.
