Manitowoc Lincoln athletes were dominant at the Manitowoc County Track and Field Invite on Tuesday (May 12th).
The Ships girls were declared the meet champions with 159 points, outpacing Kiel, the 2nd place team, by 41.5 points.
Mishicot was 3rd, followed by Two Rivers, Valders, Manitowoc Lutheran, Reedsville, and Roncalli.
The Ships’ 4x400m relay team of Abby Gebhart, Ava Bierman, Calla Eichmann, and Khloe Jalbert also set a new county meet record with a time of 4:10.55.
Another meet record was set by Lincoln’s 100-meter hurdler Hallie Schroeter, who ran the race in 15.96 seconds.
Also earning gold medals for Lincoln were Natalie Portman in the 1600 and 800-meter runs, Calla Eichmann in the 400, and the 4x800m relay team, consisting of Charlie Drossart, Catori Crawford, Jaz Schultz, and Ava Bierman.
The Manitowoc Lincoln boys, meanwhile, finished in a tie with Two Rivers for 3rd, with Manitowoc Lutheran and Kiel taking the top 2 spots.
Roncalli was 5th, followed by Mishicot, Valders, and Reedsville.
The boys were led by first-place finishes by Lucas Gallegos in the 800m run and Cole Remiker, who set a new record in the high jump with a leap of 5’ 10”.
