Community members have stepped up to support local veterans.
American Legion Post 477 – St Nazianz hosted Tee It Up Fore Troops today (May 14th), an annual fundraiser raising money for Old Glory Honor Flight, and this year was another massive success.
Over the past number of weeks, we here at Seehafer Broadcasting have collected community donations, aiming to raise as much money as possible to support the veteran community.
To begin today’s event at Autumn Ridge Golf Course, Seehafer Broadcasting Vice President Terry Stevenson presented a check to Old Glory Honor Flight Executive Director Diane MacDonald for $13,145.
This money will directly fund veterans and their sponsors to be flown to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor, a first for many who make the trip.
