The Manitowoc/Two Rivers YMCA is celebrating its organization’s historic anniversary.
The local Y will host a free community Birthday Party this evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The celebration takes place throughout the Manitowoc/Two Rivers YMCA and will include activities for all ages.
Guests can enjoy cupcakes, a dance party, kid-friendly activities, and more.
Manitowoc Two Rivers YMCA CEO Julie Grossman explains that the celebration welcomes the whole community into the Y, which has been a part of the lakeshore for generations.
While the national YMCA movement celebrates 175 years, the local Y has been helping residents since 1963.
The current building was dedicated in 1969 and has remained a place where children learn and grow, families connect, and neighbors find support.
