
A highly successful local wrestler has announced where she will take her talents in the fall.
Emjay Neuman, who rewrote the Manitowoc Lincoln wrestling record books and is widely recognized as one of the most successful girls’ wrestlers in Wisconsin history, will continue her career at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
Manitowoc Lincoln head wrestling coach Tyler Wetenkamp tells seehafernews.com that she signed her letter of intent last week.
Neuman finished her stellar four-year career at Lincoln with 167 wins, 123 via pin, which are both school records.
Neuman qualified for The WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament all four years, winning a state title in 2024 and finishing runner-up three times in 2023,2025 and 2026.
She was also named a three-time FRCC Girls wrestler of the year. St. Ambrose University is located in Davenport, Iowa, and Neuman is a member of the first recruiting class of head coach Carley Rusk as women’s wrestling makes its debut at the private catholic university this fall.
The Fighting Bees are a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference, which consists of 15 schools located in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
