Joshuah Kingten was also ordered to spend eight months in the Manitowoc County Jail under the Huber Law.
***ORIGINAL STORY***
A Two Rivers man convicted in an OWI and fleeing case has been sentenced.
35-year-old Joshua J. Kintgen was found guilty due to a no contest plea on his fourth OWI, while additional charges of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety were dismissed but read into the record.
Judge Mark Rohrer withheld his sentencing, instead placing Kintgen on probation for three years.
Kintgen was arrested after Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle parked in the wrong lane of travel at the intersection of West Zander Road and County Highway B in the Town of Gibson in July of 2024.
Deputies responded to find Kintgen passed out behind the wheel. When he woke up, Kintgen fled from the deputies, leading them on a 14.5-mile chase.
Judge Rohrer also ordered Kintgen to undergo treatment and counseling and maintain absolute sobriety, as well as any combination of full-time employment, schooling, or work search.
He will also be subject to random urine screens and is not allowed to operate any motor vehicles for three years.
