Earlier this week, Two Rivers School District proudly hosted the Work-Based Learning Awards Breakfast at Two Rivers High School.
This program is a celebration of the incredible achievements of Youth Apprenticeship and Co-op students.
This year, they recognized 66 Youth Apprenticeship students working with 46 local employers and 21 Co-op students gaining valuable hands-on experience.
The Two Rivers Youth Apprenticeship program has grown from just 6 students six years ago to 66 students today.
The school said, “This expansion reflects the strong partnerships with local employers and the growing value of hands-on, career-connected learning.”
The Youth Apprenticeship program continues to stand out as a powerful opportunity for students to learn beyond the classroom, building real-world skills, meaningful connections, and clarity about their future paths.
They also celebrated students earning the Employability Skills Certificate, recognizing those who have completed at least 90 hours of work experience while demonstrating the skills employers value most: reliability, communication, and a strong work ethic.
