Waukesha County is topping the list of most vehicle crashes involving deer in Wisconsin.
Data from the state Department of Transportation shows Waukesha County was first on the list with 1,010 deer crashes in 2025.
It wasn’t just the only county to top 1,000 crashes, but it was also the only county to go over 900.
A total of nearly 17,800 vehicle crashes involving deer took place across the state last year, an increase from the year before.
This year, six people were killed in those crashes, and over 700 were injured.
Washington County was second on the list, followed by Sheboygan, Dane, and St. Croix counties.
