Work is continuing on a reservoir on Two Rivers’ north side.
City staff announced that they’ve recently reached a milestone by completing a new concrete overflow pad.
The improvement was necessary to prepare the reservoir for its upcoming Wisconsin DNR inspection and to support long-term system reliability.
The reservoir could be drained the week of May 11th through the 15th and taken offline the week of May 18th through the 20th.
During this time, crews will inspect, clean, and chlorinate the 2-million-gallon reservoir before returning it to service.
Residents may notice a slight reduction in water pressure during work.
Crews will also address an existing issue with an overflow pipe configuration by installing a new one on the west side of the reservoir.
The City of Two Rivers says the improvements reflect its continued commitment to making smart, necessary investments that keep water safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community.
