Sheboygan’s Common Council has awarded grant funding to numerous projects.
In 2026, the City received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services funding, which is designated to support public service programs that benefit low-to-moderate income residents.
This year, just over $135,000 was awarded in CDBG funding to six organizations in Sheboygan, which was unanimously approved by the Council earlier this week.
Receiving the most was Abode, which was awarded $31,200, while the Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization and the Salvation Army each got $30,000.
Shoreline Metro also received $20,000 in grant funding, and the Sheboygan County Warming Center was awarded $13,401.
Rounding out the recipients is Lakeshore Cap, which has received $12,000.
This funding is intended to address critical community needs, to which the City said, “These allocations reflect the City’s continued commitment to support essential services, including housing stability, transportation, emergency assistance, and programs that serve vulnerable populations, low-to-moderate income individuals within our community.”
