Some changes are coming to Roncalli Catholic Schools.
A new strategic academic and facilities plan for the schools has been unveiled, which includes the relocation of grades 7 and 8 to the high school campus beginning in the fall of 2027.
Roncalli Catholic Schools noted that the shift is a part of its ongoing long-range planning for a future elementary school and “supports the development of a focused, age-appropriate 3K–6 elementary model while expanding access to advanced coursework, specialized facilities, and enhanced programming for seventh- and eighth-grade students.”
Roncalli Catholic Schools President Tom Korta added, “By thoughtfully aligning grade levels across campuses, we are able to expand opportunities, improve instructional efficacy, and better prepare students for success in high school and beyond.”
It was also noted that no new construction will be required at the high school to accommodate the 7th and 8th-grade students.
Design details for the new 3K–6 elementary school are not yet finalized, though school leadership expects to share conceptual plans, budgeting, and construction timelines in the near future.
