
One of the four people charged in a child neglect and malnourishment case in Outagamie County has been convicted.
52-year-old Melissa Goodman was in Outagamie County Court on Wednesday, where she was found guilty due to no contest pleas on charges of Chronic Neglect of a Child Resulting in Great Bodily Harm, Chronic Neglect Resulting in Emotional Damage, and False Imprisonment.
Melissa, along with her husband Walter, her daughter Savana LeFever, and LeFever’s partner, Kayla Stemler, were all arrested after police located a severely malnourished 14-year-old girl living in their home.
This girl is Walter’s daughter, and she was said to weigh only 35 pounds at the time.
Walter is due for a pretrial conference on May 28th, LeFever has her pretrial conference in June, while Stemler is set to go on trial in August.
