
A man convicted of a sexual assault charge has been released from prison and will reside in Two Rivers.
The Two Rivers Police Department has announced that 35-year-old Marland D. Edwards, who was convicted on a charge of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault, was released from prison yesterday and will be living in the Cool City, despite being listed as a transient.
He has served his sentence as imposed by the courts and is not wanted by police at this time.
Edwards has been ordered to follow rules as established by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and is currently under extended supervision with the DOC.
Due to his transient status, he is also required to check in weekly with DOC until residency is found.
He will also be on the Sex Offender Registry for life.
Any use of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass Edwards will not be tolerated.
