The DATCP has released the next iteration of the Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council.
A total of 15 students were selected, including two from Eastern Wisconsin. Representing our area will be Abby Meyer of Chilton and Klair Grinstead of Fond du Lac.
Abbey was also named the 2025 National Junior Youth Achievement Winner for District 5 and is a part of numerous student groups at her school.
They, along with the other 13 members, will attend monthly virtual sessions from September 2026 to May 2027 during their senior year of high school.
During council sessions, members will listen to presentations and engage in discussions about a variety of agricultural topics.
At the conclusion of their term, Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council members will receive a certificate for their service.
DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski congratulated the Youth Council, saying, “I am proud of the previous, current, and upcoming council members, and I look forward to meeting with this council in the year ahead.”
