The Plymouth Police Department recently hit the track with high speeds in mind.
The department has shared that, last week, officers made their way to Road America to conduct training, which focused on driving at high speeds and pursuit driving.
The training took place at the Briggs and Stratton Motorplex, a separate track from the main four-mile run at Road America.
Not only did they train on how to drive while in pursuit, but they also conducted training operations for when a pursuit ends, and it’s time to apprehend a fleeing individual with the help of police K9s.
Drone teams were also on hand to sharpen their skills and capture the Plymouth police cars cruising at the Motorplex.
Drone footage and photos of the police training done at Road America are available for viewing by visiting the Plymouth Police Department Facebook page.
