The Manitowoc County Historical Society is gearing up for spring.
They will be hosting their Spring Opening Weekend this Saturday (May 2nd) at Pinecrest Village, starting with the 20th Annual Homegrown Heritage Breakfast Fundraiser from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
It will include Humpty Dumpty Eggs, bread from Natural Ovens, bacon and sausage from Newton Meats, and more local products.
Tickets had to be purchased before breakfast. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Pinecrest Village will be hopping with living history demonstrations and costumed interpreters who will tell the stories of those alive back then.
There will also be a Coffee and Doughnuts workshop around the same time, teaching attendees how to roast their own coffee and fry their own doughnuts the 19th-century way.
Starting tomorrow (May 1st), Pinecrest Historical Village will be open a little bit longer as well.
The historical society’s website says the hours will now be on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
