
The Manitowoc Lutheran boys and girls Track and Field teams performed exceptionally well at Monday’s Big East North Track and Field Championships held at Hilbert.
The Boys captured the conference championship in dominating fashion, crowning six winners plus six runners-up en route to scoring 186 points.
Howards Grove was a distant second, scoring 118 points.
Big East North Champions for the Lancers include senior Tristian Hulse in the shot put, senior Isiah Muchka in the triple jump, junior Brody Wieting in the long jump, sophomore Max Ciha in the 800 meter run, the 4×100 meter relay team of Ben Harrison, Issac Wagner, Noah Dillion and Brody Wieting and the 4×200 meter relay team of Ben Harrison, Isiah Muchka, sophomore Roman Di Marco and freshmen Julian Stuebs.
The Lancer girls finished as runners-up with a score of 97 points while Mishicot took the team title with 149 points.
Sophomore Isabella Eick is a conference champion in the 400-meter run.
Senior Makiah Krause placed second in both the 100-meter hurdles and triple jump.
Junior Claire De Pew was second in the long jump, sophomore Adriel Barthel placed second in the 1600-meter run, and the 4×800-meter relay of Adriel Barthel, junior Carmen Carolfi, sophomore Maddie Wusterbarth, and freshman Temperance Farmer were runners-up in the 4×800-meter relay.
Manitowoc Lutheran returns to action on Friday (May 1st) as they’ll compete at a multi-school meet in Brillion.
