Additionally, those who are planning on trimming their trees should make sure they are aware of where the overhead power lines are.
If there are tree limbs near powerlines, a certified contractor must be contracted to conduct the trimming.
If you do see branches growing near powerlines, call 800-450-7260 to report it.
And finally, everyone should also practice safety around electrical equipment.
Children should avoid playing near powerlines and electrical equipment entirely.
