The Manitowoc Common Council has been reorganized after the 2026 Spring General Election.
Jodi Brey, Mason J. Benzinger, Eric Sikietwitz, Bill Schlei, and Brett Norell were sworn in on Tuesday, with the council electing Sitkiewitz as their next council president for the 2026-2027 council year.
Bill Schlei was also nominated again to join the city’s plan commission.
For standing committee appointments, Sitkiewitz will chair the Finance Committee, Norell will lead the Personnel Committee, and Public Works will again be led by Schlei.
The Public Safety Committee will be led by Todd Reckelberg, and Alderman Mike Cummings will lead the newly formed Parks and Recreation Committee.
In Two Rivers, Scott Stechmesser was reappointed to be the council president of the newly sworn-in council by a 7-2 vote.
Darla LeClair, Adam Wachowski, and Katherine Dahlke were sworn in to their new terms.
Shannon Derby was elected as the council’s vice president.
