A major decision in the sexual assault case against a former Mishicot gym teacher has been delayed.
38-year-old Ryan Schroeder was in court yesterday, where Judge Mark Rohrer was supposed to rule on whether certain evidence could be used in the trial.
However, that decision has been pushed to May 14th.
A sentencing hearing has also been set for June 9th.
Schroeder is facing charges of Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child, 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Child Enticement with Sexual Contact, Sexual Assault of a Student by School Staff, Causing a Child to View Sexual Activity, Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime, Strangulation and Suffocation, two counts of Child Sexual Exploitation, and ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
He allegedly engaged in a lengthy sexual relationship with a student, which included ten instances of sexual contact at Mishicot High School between 2023 and 2025.
He was also recently convicted in federal court on production of child pornography charges, and is set to be sentenced in June.
