There is no risk to students after ammunition was found in a Dane County high school.
The discovery was made late Tuesday night in the locker room of DeForest High School, when custodial staff found it in a backpack.
Police were called to the scene to investigate, and the probe was completed before the start of school on Wednesday.
Officers determined there was no credible threat or weapons found during the investigation.
Classes were not disrupted during the incident.
