A Manitowoc man charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting a child multiple times has had his bail hearing.
66-year-old Jeffery Lamb was given a $50,000 cash bail by Manitowoc County Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch during the hearing.
He is also not allowed to have any contact with the victim or anyone under 18.
The 66-year-old is facing charges of sexual assault of a child and sexual assault of the same child with a repeater modifier after Manitowoc Police began an investigation when the victim was reported missing.
The missing child was found at a friend’s house and said that Lamb had sexually assaulted them multiple times per week since November.
It was estimated that the suspect had sexually assaulted the victim more than 50 times.
Lamb was pulled over in the 1300 block of S. 30th Street on Monday (April 20th) by police.
However, he requested that his lawyer be present during questioning and refused to consent to detectives searching his phone.
The 66-year-old will return on April 27th for his initial appearance in Manitowoc County Court Branch 3.
