A man charged in an Appleton overdose death has been sentenced.
40-year-old Eric Abresch was ordered by Judge Yadira Rein to spend 12 years in prison followed by eight years on extended supervision, after a jury found him guilty of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide by the Delivery of Drugs.
Abresch was arrested shortly after the August 2022 death of 42-year-old Dawn Hiles in the 500 block of East Winnebago Street in Appleton.
Abresch called 911 after finding her unresponsive, but denied supplying her with drugs at the time.
He allegedly got the drugs from Julius Elmer, who is scheduled to be in court on May 29th for a plea hearing.
