The Milwaukee Common Council is approving an ordinance that prohibits law enforcement agencies from wearing masks or face coverings.
The approval comes as part of the city’s ICE Out Milwaukee proposal.
A vote on the mask ordinance was delayed last month over concerns about whether it was enforceable, but found it was legal last week.
ICE agents and any law enforcement agents would be required to display identification and wouldn’t be allowed to stage themselves on city property without a permit.
