A change in leadership has been made at Lakeland University.
Lakeland has named Johannah Wenig as the university’s new Vice President for Advancement & Strategic Operations.
Wenig enters the role with a wealth of knowledge and experience in philanthropy and strategic leadership, most recently serving as market director for the Wisconsin Foundations of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS).
Excited to get to work with the University, Wenig noted, “It is clear that Lakeland’s strong future is built upon the enduring support of its community and the exceptional dedication of its faculty, staff, and students who have shaped its legacy. The strength and spirit of Muskie pride are both inspiring and unmistakable.”
Meanwhile, Lakeland President Beth Borgen is looking forward to seeing the work she can do, stating, “Johannah’s background in philanthropy, community leadership, and strategic alignment will help shape the Lakeland of the future. We are excited to welcome her to the Lakeland family and have her lead the talented advancement team we have in place.”
Wenig has nearly two decades of professional experience in philanthropy and building community partnerships, which she looks to build upon as Lakeland’s VP of Advancement & Strategic Operations. More on Wenig’s appointment can be found at lakeland.edu.
