A public softball field and its amenities were vandalized over the weekend.
Ashwaubenon Softball reports that there was significant damage caused at Pioneer Park on Saturday, where unknown individuals removed all of the bases from one of the fields and dug up the cement blocks anchoring the field.
Those blocks were then thrown through the windows at the concessions stand, and bolted-down picnic tables were removed and used as makeshift ladders to gain access to the roof.
While on the roof, the vandals damaged some of the piping.
While the exact cost of the damages was not given, it was estimated to be in the thousands.
