There are a pair of meetings on the calendar for today (April 21st) in the City of Manitowoc.
The Common Council will be in the Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m. to administer the oaths of office for the newly elected and reelected members, Jodi Brey, Mason Benzinger, Eric Sitkiewitz, Bill Schlei, and Brett Norell.
They will also nominate and elect the president of the council, draw for seats, adopt the Council rules for 2026-2027, and accept their board appointments from Mayor Justin Nickels.
At the same time, the Zoning Board of Appeals will be in the 1st Floor Conference Room, where they will look over a signage appeal.
Fox Cities Sign, the agent for Five Below, is looking to install a sign at 4121 Calumet Avenue, which is 33 square feet larger than the 80 square foot allowance.
