The Manitowoc Police and Manitowoc Fire Rescue have named their persons of the year.
Manitowoc Police says the 2026 Eagles Club Officer of the Year is Marchus Williams, who has been a member of the department since 2022 and is currently serving as a third shift patrol officer.
The department says that in his time, Marcus has quickly become an active and recognizable presence both within the agency and throughout the community.
Williams has volunteered his time at numerous events of the past year, including the MPPA at the Capitol Civic Center, the Boys and Girls Club of Manitowoc County, and has represented the department at Lakeshore College’s career day, where he engaged with students interested in law enforcement.
Also, Williams is a co-coordinator of the annual Shop With a Cop program, helping organize logistics, secure donations from local businesses, and coordinate transportation and meals.
The Manitowoc Fire Department’s Firefighter/Paramedic 2026 Eagles Club Officer of the Year goes to Benjamin Reisterer due to his immediate and positive impact on the organization.
Manitowoc Fire Rescue says Riesterer has stepped forward to strengthen technical capabilities by enhancing their rope rescue training and has taken on the important responsibility of helping ensure that their new heavy rescue is properly equipped and ready to serve the community when it arrives.
Benjamin is also credited with serving as a seasonal wildland firefighter with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, demonstrating further commitment to public safety across the region.
Both emergency workers will be honored at the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706 Awards on Saturday, May 2nd, at 5:30 p.m.
